Background
Mr Abboudi is a consultant urological surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He subspecialises in the diagnosis, prevention and management of kidney stones, benign prostate diseases such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and bladder cancer. He performs minimally invasive surgery such as ureteroscopy and laser fragmentation of stones, laser prostate surgery (HoLEP), laser ablation of bladder tumours, urolift and Rezum water vapour therapy.
Mr Abboudi graduated from St George’s University of London. He completed his higher urological training in North London, including a fellowship year at the Institute of Urology, University College London Hospitals, where he subspecialised in endourology and the minimally invasive management of kidney stones using laser technology, ureteric stricture disease and urothelial cancer of the kidney and ureter. He was awarded the prestigious British Association of Urological Surgeons Travelling Fellowship Grant, where he travelled to Columbia University Medical Centre in New York City and to the city of Agra in India at the Centre for Minimally-Invasive Endourology, Global Rainbow Hospital, to gain a broader perspective on the medical and surgical management of advanced kidney stone disease.

Mr Abboudi has a strong academic background and as such has been awarded a number of postgraduate research prizes. He serves as a peer reviewer for several urological journals and has published and presented his research at national and international conferences.
Mr Abboudi is actively involved in medical student and post graduate medical education and holds a formal degree in medical education. He has an interest in health technology, simulation training and medical innovation and has developed a number of systems to improve patient safety and care at the hospitals he has worked in.
