Background
Dr Richard Morton is an experienced physician with UK certification in respiratory medicine (pulmonology) and general internal medicine. He went to medical school in Oxford, before returning to London to complete his specialist training.
His areas of interest include lung cancer, asthma, COPD, respiratory infection, bronchoscopy (including endobronchial ultrasound/EBUS), and the role of technology and AI in medicine. He spent four years as a Clinical Research Training Fellow at Imperial College London between 2019 and 2023 before returning to full-time NHS work at St Mary's Hospital, part of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
He prides himself in being a clear and honest communicator, always striving to give his patients excellent care through shared decision making. He is a strong believer in the importance of kindness in healthcare, and is happiest working within enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary teams that can deliver high-quality, holistic care.
