Gregory Sebepos-Rogers

Background

Dr Sebepos-Rogers is an experienced gastroenterologist with a subspecialty interest in inflammatory bowel disease and nutrition. He performs upper and lower GI endoscopy, and conducts general gastroenterology and specialist IBD clinics.

He completed his medical degree at University College London followed by specialist training at in the Oxford and London regions. He has undertaken advanced training in complex IBD and nutrition at tertiary referral centres in London. He has an MSc in Genomic Medicine from Imperial College London and has undertook a PhD (in submission) in Immunology at UCL as a Crohn's and Colitis UK Research Fellow.

In his current practice, he cares for inpatients at St Marys and Hammersmith hospitals, undertakes general and specialist IBD clinics, and leads the Hammersmith site nutrition service. He is a proficient endoscopist and trainer, participates in the advanced polyp MDT and is site training lead for St Mary's Hospital. He is a principal investigator for IBD trials and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London within the Digestive Disease research group.

Research & publications

Dr Sebepos-Rogers's research interests include exploring the role of innate immune pathways in the pathogenesis of IBD using organoids, as well as undertaking clinical research studies in both IBD and nutrition. He supports translational research at both ICL and UCL.
